| Judging CV | Alaskan Malamutes I have been judging Alaskan Malamutes since May 2010 and I have awarded CCs in Alaskan Malamutes at Leeds 2019, Border Union 2021 & WELKS 2023. Selby - May 2010 Matlock - Feb 2011 South West Working & Pastoral - Oct 2011 Scottish Kennel Club (non-CC) - Aug 2012 National Working & Pastoral - Feb 2013 Newcastle (Staffs) - April 2014 Marlborough - May 2014 Hyde & District - Nov 2014 Alaskan Malamute Club of the UK Open Show (Bitches & Special Classes) - May 2016. Leeds Championship Show (CC's) - July 2019 (Entry 67) Border Union (CCs) - October 2021 (Entry 36) WELKS (CCS) - April 2023 (Entry 54) I am on the AMCUK A1 List/Level 4 (Specialist) and have attended numerous Breed Seminars delivered by UK and US specialists including 5 AMCUK Breed Seminars and 5 Alaskan Malamute Club of America Breed Seminars and Judges Education at the AMCA National Specialty in 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017. I passed the AMCUK Hands On Assessment in 2006 the KC Conformation and Movement Assessment in 2008 and the KC Requirements of a Dog Show Judge in 2015. I am Level 2/B List for the other Sled Dog Breeds and also Level 2 for Border Collies. I have also judged other working breeds and a Working Group. |
| Other Info | I owned and showed Alaskan Malamutes from 2000 to November 2023. I currently own just 1 Border Collie. As well as showing our dogs, we worked them in harness and were particularly active in Weight Pull and long distance trekking. I was a Committee Member for the Alaskan Malamute Club of the UK from 2008 to 2020 and served terms as Hon. Treasurer and Acting Hon. Secretary. |
