| Judging CV | I have judged Golden Retrievers since 1997 at 22 Open Shows, 154 classes,780 dog were entered, 170 absent and judged 510 actual dogs. I have judged Bitches at Richmond Championship show in 2011, Dogs at National Gundog in 2014, bitches at Yorkshire Golden Retriever in 2016 and have an appointment for bitches in July 2019. I have judged Gundog groups and BIS twice. I have judged Labrador Retrievers at 2 Open Shows and Flatcoated Retrievers at 1 Open Show. I have attended the Breed Seminar and passed the breed specific examination for Flat Coated Retrievers. |
| Other Info | I have gained the Show Gundog Working Certificate with 6 of my dogs and am training the young ones to hopefully gain this award. One of my dogs passed part one of the KC Working Gundog Certificate and another two have been awarded it. I have also assisted a number of other people train their dogs to successfully complete these assessments. All my dogs have a KC Good Citizens award. I have regularly competed in Gundog Working Tests with my dogs with some success and with three of my dogs, entered Novice Field Trials and I have been awarded Field Trial Awards. In 2011 I won my first Novice Field Trial and I have been competing at Open level. Having already attended both Field Trials and Working Tests I meet the new competency required by the Kennel Club. I have also stewarded at the GRC 2 Day Open Qualifying Stake for a number of years when not running my dogs in the event. I have regularly worked obedience at Breed Club Shows. I am also a qualified Rally Judge and have gained level 1,2 and 3 titles with my dogs. I have been on various Dog Club committees from a local dog obedience training club where I was a trainer, a general open show committee and our local URC committee. I have been responsible for the organisation and running of Gundog Working Tests until recently was a member of the Midland GRC executive committee and served as Working Test Secretary for 3 years. I was on the main committee of Leicestershire Gundog Society and on the Show sub committee. I am currently a committee member of the BD&CGRC and am chair of the JSC and have arranged working tests and Rally demonstrations for them I am a member of the KC Accredited Instructor Scheme and am working towards the full qualification. I am now working as a full time dog trainer. I have a First Grade pass in instructing with the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers. |
