| Judging CV | My first judging appointment was for Shetland Sheepdogs at NORMIDCA in November 1984. I have awarded CCs in Shetland Sheepdogs since 2001 and Lhasa Apsos since 2021. I judged the Sheltie male entry at Crufts in 2018. I have also judged Shetland Sheepdogs at championship shows in Sweden, Norway, Finland, the Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand. I have also judged many variety classes plus the Pastoral, Working and Utility groups at Open shows. I have achieved JEP Level 2 in Border Collies, Rough Collies and Lancashire Heelers and aspire to achieve this in other breeds going forward, currently concentrating on the pastoral group. Also interested and happy to be considered for breeds in the working and utility groups. |
| Other Info | I have owned Shetland Sheepdogs nearly all my life, but started showing the breed in 1979, in partnership with my late mother, under the Stanydale affix. I have bred 2 champions, owned a third in partnership, and gained a further 13 stud book entries. I also owned, exhibited and bred Lhasa Apsos for over 30 years. I have been the Kennel Club Breed Health Coordinator for Shetland Sheepdogs since 2013. I have been Chairman of the English Shetland Sheepdog Club since 2019, having formerly served as Treasurer from 1997 to 2010, and subsequently as Vice Chairman. I am also on the committee of the East Anglian Collie Association. I have been Treasurer of the Pastoral Breeds Health Foundation (an organisation supporting research and promoting health testing) since 2001. I also served on the committee of Colchester & District Canine Society for 20 years. |
