| Judging CV | I have been involved in showing dogs since 1985 though my in-laws who we often joined at shows where I sometimes handled their Boxers. In 1993 I began helping out at Stevenage Ringcraft. This has enabled me to talk to owners/breeders of many different breeds and has also given me the desire to further my knowledge by attending breed seminars and judging assessments and I now enjoy judging many of these breeds. In 1995 we got our first Red & White Setter and I started judging in 1996 at Exemption shows and matches. I felt ready when I judged at my first open show in 1998. I enjoy judging at all levels and enjoy judging various breeds but believe that you only judge those you like and enjoy judging. I also like to judge both Junior and Adult handling. |
| Other Info | I am Secretary of Hitchin and District Canine Society and I also serve on the committee for Mid Herts Gundog Society where I am currently Show Manager and I am currently a committee member on the Irish Red & White Setter Club of GB. I was the Treasurer for The Southern Society for Irish Red & White Setters from 1998 to 2008. As well as judging and showing I also compete, and have been successful in the growing Adult Handling classes. I was Runner-up in the first ever Adult Handling Finals held by Coventry Ladies Kennel Association in 2006 then went one better and was the overall winner in 2007. I award CC's in Irish Red & White Setters, Portuguese Water Dogs and Australian Shepherd Dogs. I enjoy judging breeds, groups and BIS at Open shows. |
